Overview

Visage provides a collaborative candidate sourcing platform that automates candidate discovery and engagement with AI and human-powered sourcing capabilities. Its product helps teams build predictable candidate pipelines, increase hiring efficiency, and simplify team-based work management. The platform delivers large batches of high-quality candidates by identifying relevant skills and experience and includes automated engagement tools that integrate with top applicant tracking systems. Visage plans to use new funds to expand its AI and crowdsourcing system and to develop a Platform solution to further automate engagement and increase productivity. Founded in 2016 and based in San Francisco, the company counts enterprise customers such as Siemens, Nielsen, Cielo Talent and KPMG. Since inception it has raised $10.7M, including the recent Series A. Visage combines a network of 1,000+ freelance recruiters with an AI platform to hunt for passive talent and provide curated shortlists to clients. Launched in 2015 by Joss Leufrancois, Barry Potier and CTO Emmanuel Marboeuf, the company counts clients including The Luxury Closet, Careem, Fetchr, Etisalat and Etihad. Visage says passive candidates make up almost 70% of the market and reports a monthly growth rate of about 20%, operating at roughly one-tenth the cost of a traditional recruitment agency. The startup bootstrapped for about 18 months before this angel round and syndicated the deal themselves. Funds will be used to advance the platform's AI capabilities, support marketing efforts, and enable a planned launch in the US. Visage is also set to join the Alchemist Accelerator in San Francisco for a six-month program.
