Visiox Pharma, led by CEO Ryan Bleeks, is a Tarrytown, N.Y.-based biopharmaceutical company focused on developing and commercializing ophthalmic drugs. Its lead candidate, PDP-716, is a novel once-daily brimonidine formulation using the patented TearAct™ delivery technology to provide slow, consistent, and sustained IOP control throughout the day. Another program, SDN-037, is a twice-daily topical difluprednate corticosteroid formulated on the company's TJM™ (Tight Junction Modulation) Micellar platform to control post-surgical inflammation in a clear, conveniently dosed solution. The company plans to submit two New Drug Applications to the U.S. FDA later this year targeting the glaucoma and cataract surgery markets. Visiox recently closed a $7M seed financing to support NDA submission, manufacture initial inventory, and expand its commercial team.
