Overview

Visualping provides website change monitoring that notifies users of updates like price drops, ticket availability, job postings, and vaccination slot openings. The company serves more than 1.5 million users and the vast majority of the Fortune 500. This year it launched machine learning-based tools that it says can eliminate up to 80% of false alerts by using user feedback to learn optimal monitoring configurations. Visualping monetizes its web-based service while keeping browser extensions free. The company plans to launch Visualping Business and Visualping Personal in November, add collaboration features, release iOS and Android mobile apps, and relaunch its extensions. Growth has been primarily product-led, and the new funding will be used to build out the product and a commercial team. Visualping is a six-year-old, 16-person freemium service that monitors the web for changes and notifies users by email when tracked content or keywords appear. The product lets users submit a screenshot or page segment to track; two searches per day are free while heavier usage is metered (up to 660 checks per day for $100/month). The service has amassed 1.5 million users, an undisclosed percentage of whom pay monthly subscription fees. Visualping is applying machine learning to reduce noise (for example, ignoring banner-ad changes and batching alerts until thresholds are met). The company says it is GDPR-compliant and is focused on building enterprise products, with a mobile app planned for release this summer. Management says existing revenue plus new funding should be sufficient to fund the business for the next two years.
