Vivex Biomedical, founded in 2014 and led by President and CEO Tracy Anderson, is an Atlanta, Georgia-based regenerative biologics company. Its research and development focuses on combining biologics and regenerative medicine, with major areas of investigation including cartilage, soft tissue, bone, and skin. Product focuses include amniotic fluid therapy, viable allogenic bone allografts, and amniotic tissue matrices. The company received a $9m line of credit from Heritage Bank of Commerce. Vivex will use the funds for new product development, to expand operations, and for working capital and general corporate purposes. The financing is intended to support ongoing R&D and business expansion. Vivex Biomedical is a Marietta, GA-based biomaterials manufacturer and developer that produces demineralized bone matrix, sponge, allograft, and calcium phosphate products. Its products are backed by a proprietary cleansing process designed to sustain bioactivity. Founded in 2013 as a spin-off of the biomaterials division of spinal implant maker Amendia, the company is developing the MIAMI stem cell and mimetic pattern implants and other protected intellectual property. Vivex completed a $7.6M first round of private equity financing and plans to use the funds to refine current products, develop new products, expand its team, and pursue strategic partnerships. Backers for the round were undisclosed. The company is led by President and CEO Tracy Anderson.
