Vizimax designs and manufactures automation systems for grid modernization used by power utilities, independent power producers and industrial clients. Its product portfolio includes two major product lines, SynchroTeq and RightWON, which automate substations and help interconnect renewable energy sites to the grid. The company counts customers and partners such as Siemens, Alstom Grid, Schneider Electric, Crompton Greaves, BHEL and Hydro-Quebec. Vizimax says the new funding will support aggressive business and market development while continuing product development. Management plans to expand into new markets in Europe, Asia and South America and to capitalize on projected robust growth in the substation automation segment (forecast 30–40% CAGR through 2014).
