Vimosoft develops VLLO, a mobile video-editing app that lets users cut and paste clips, add captions, and insert background music via a free app with some paid advanced features. The service is available in 12 languages and has grown into a global product with more users in the United States and Japan than in Korea. About 150,000 users left Apple App Store reviews, and 86% of those reviewers gave the app five stars, fueling strong word-of-mouth growth. As of last September, monthly revenue had increased more than tenfold year‑over‑year. CEO Lee Kyung‑hyun said the company will use the investment to pursue aggressive overseas marketing aimed at increasing sales fivefold by 2021 and to hire and train developers. Vimosoft also plans to expand beyond mobile by launching PC and Mac versions.
