Vmo Aircraft Leasing is a U.S.-based commercial aircraft lessor launched in January 2021 by aviation industry veterans and funds managed by the Private Equity and Credit Groups of Ares Management. The company provides aircraft leasing services to airlines and other operators. In its latest fundraising the company increased its capital base from $500 million to $1.1 billion. Fresh capital came from Ares Alternative Credit Group, funds managed by Oaktree Capital Management, Diameter Capital Partners, and other investors, with funds managed by Ares Management remaining the lead shareholder. Management says the capital will be used to accelerate growth, selectively diversify the portfolio, and to support a complementary debt financing program in the capital markets. Vmo is headquartered in San Francisco.
