Voice.ai builds a real-time speech-to-speech voice changing platform available as apps for Mac, PC, Android and iOS that lets users create or select from more than 50,000 voice filters. Its tools are used by gamers, content creators, Vtubers and people on platforms including TikTok, Zoom, Discord and popular games such as Minecraft, GTA5 and Fortnite. The company processes audio locally via a “virtual audio cable” while also relying on server capacity, and it currently has more than 480,000 users and a Discord community of over 120,000. Voice.ai says most users are on a free tier that opts them into providing computational power to train its models and that its private dataset includes millions of unique users. The startup plans to use new funding to hire technical talent, build SDKs and APIs to integrate with platforms like Meta, Unreal and Unity, add multi-language support and expand into applications such as singing. Founder and CEO Heath Ahrens positions the product as consumer-focused and affordable, aiming to bring voice-modulation tech previously reserved for enterprises directly to individuals.
