Founded in 2020 by Hugues Bonhomme and based around the Grande Source du Volcan near Aizac, Volcan bottles one of France's naturally sparkling mineral waters that resurfaces at 11°C from a 12-meter artesian well. The company refurbished a 900 m² production site after a five-year redevelopment costing €2.8 million financed with the founder's equity and bank loans. Volcan sells premium-format glass bottles (75 cl and 33 cl) primarily into cafés, hotels, restaurants and to limonadiers, and is already present in about 40 French departments with roughly 350 active clients, including about 20 starred chefs. Annual production capacity is estimated at 3 million bottles and the business currently employs four people. The company emphasizes environmental measures—glass bottles are 30% lighter and dry materials are sourced within 100 km and fully recyclable. Volcan plans to introduce a still water product in the coming months and aims for €3.5 million in revenue by 2028.
