Voltalia is a French renewable-energy developer and operator focused on building utility-scale solar and other clean power projects and providing operations & maintenance services. The company completed a €490 million (US$516 million) capital increase by issuing 35,765,712 new shares. Voltalia will allocate €450 million of the proceeds to build new production capacity aimed at reaching 5GW in operation or under construction by 2027. It anticipates total investment of between €2.5–3 billion to achieve that 5GW target. The remaining funds will finance growth in services to reach 8GW of O&M-managed plants for third parties and support possible targeted acquisitions in Africa, Latin America or Europe. Recently the company secured several solar PV power purchase agreements, including a 350MW deal with Renault in France and contracts with Rio Tinto in South Africa.
