Vood is a producer of culinary frozen plant-based ready meals, formerly known as Plant B. Its meals are prepared in-house, immediately deep-frozen to preserve taste and nutrition, and the range includes 16 dishes. The company sells direct-to-consumer via its website (including a subscription option) and through partners such as Flink. Vood reported more than 300% growth last year and has sold over 120,000 meals in the past two years. The business recently received a €650k investment to scale production and distribution. Planned uses include expanding capacity to 500,000 meals per year, discussions with national supermarkets, partnerships with catering companies, and development of “smart freezers” for company canteens and gyms.
