Vori
311 Wisteria Drive, East Palo Alto, CA, 94303, United States
Overview
Vori offers a grocery operating system that processes payments, tracks inventory, reads supplier invoices, adjusts shelf prices, creates purchase orders, and helps grocers decide when to reorder products. The company launched its platform in January 2024 and is headquartered in San Francisco. Since launch Vori reports it has processed more than $500 million in payments across 55 cities and served over 1 million consumers, with payments contributing roughly 60–70% of revenue. Founder and CEO Brandon Hill is a third-generation grocer and positions the product as automation that frees owners and staff from manual data work rather than replacing jobs. Vori’s stated ambition is to become the infrastructure layer for independent grocers and to protect the diversity of the food retail ecosystem against consolidation by Amazon and Walmart. The company says the new funding will be used to bring AI and modern software tools to a fragmented industry that still relies on legacy processes.
