VS Mani offers ready-in-seconds South Indian filter coffee (branded Easy Filter Coffee) and a range of snacks. The product is positioned to replicate homemade filter coffee while being convenient for younger consumers. Founders GD Prasad, Rahul Bajaj and Yashas Alur say they are building a destination brand for South Indian filter coffee and snacks. The company has raised $1.5 million to date, including a $900K pre-Series A led by Kettleborough VC with participation from Lets Venture, Hyderabad Angels, Supermorpheus and others. It is backed by celebrity investors such as Anupam Mittal, Sobhita Dhulipala, Rana Daggubati, Ranbir Kapoor, Disha Patani and Huma Qureshi. Composer Anirudh Ravichander has joined as a co-founder and the brand will leverage his social reach and concerts to build awareness and strengthen trade relationships, particularly in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. VS Mani gained wider attention after appearing on Shark Tank Season 2 last year.
