Vtrim is an online clinical weight-loss and healthy weight-management program commercialized by Evergreen Behavioral Solutions, Inc., based in Middlebury, Vermont. The program implements a clinical treatment developed in the University of Vermont Nutrition and Food Sciences department, delivering online education, peer support, and expert feedback to help participants change unhealthy behaviors. Participants take online classes led by Registered Dietitians who complete Vtrim’s 45-hour training, follow a behavior-modification curriculum, attend scheduled online chat sessions, and use an interactive food and exercise journal for self-monitoring. Vtrim provides regular guidance, feedback, and accountability from facilitators via web and e-mail. The company intends to use the additional $250K it raised to complete its Series A for commercialization efforts and to expand partnerships with colleges and universities, hospitals and cancer clinics, breast cancer associations, and other institutions across America. Leadership is led by CEO Krista M.C. Conley. Vtrim offers an online weight-loss treatment program delivered through trained facilitators—mostly registered dietitians and registered nurses—via a 45-hour online training course, a follow-up Vtrim II course, and an ongoing Maintenance Program.
