Avail-TVN provides digital and interactive video services to broadcasters, MVPDs and brands, powering multi-platform coverage such as NBC's London 2012 Olympics coverage and serving clients like Univision and Mattel. The company sells services across content acquisition, video-on-demand, mobile, online and digital TV platforms. It announced a $100M financing to fund product development and wider international expansion targeting content providers and multichannel video service providers. The deal and a simultaneous acquisition extend its customer footprint to 25 countries and roughly 70 million households across North America, the Caribbean, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Avail-TVN says the moves make it the largest provider of advanced digital video services worldwide. Management includes CEO Ramu Potarazu.
