Vuevent provides an app and website to discover music, theater, food and other city-experience events, with listings across 42 locations and nearly 1 million events. The service is available via the website and on the App Store and Google Play Store. The company was founded in June 2014 by Brent Shafer (CEO) and Cole Sears (CFO) in Boulder, CO, and later moved to Austin, TX. The team consists of 15 members. Vuevent intends to use the new funding to accelerate entry into new markets, boost user acquisition, add new user features and expand into business services for event creation and management. The app currently serves users nationwide and internationally.
