Overview

Vulog is a Nice, France–based provider of mobility technology led by CEO Gregory Ducongé. The company offers a platform of tools that support on‑demand mobility for any vehicle type (cars, bikes, scooters, mopeds, vans) and for both B2C and B2B customers. Its AiMA platform powers mobility services for major OEMs including Volkswagen, Stellantis, Kia Motors and Mocean, as well as new mobility providers such as Repsol, Sumitomo Corporation and the British Columbia Automobile Association. The platform supports multiple use cases including instant access, scheduled booking, subscriptions and monthly mobility plans. Vulog announced it raised $31m in funding, providing capital to support expansion and product deployment. The company plans near‑term launches: eight new mobility projects are set to go live in the first three months of the year, and a new mobility service is expected to launch soon in New York City. Vulog offers a comprehensive, customizable SaaS solution that enables operators to launch and operate free-floating, corporate, one-way station-based and round-trip carsharing with ride-hailing integrations, connecting OEM embedded hardware or Vulog’s in-car technology to a mobility platform, back-end operations tools and analytics. Its technology powers over 10 million trips per year and clients can personalize and combine multiple mobility offerings within a single service. Since its 2006 founding Vulog has operated offices in Paris, Nice, Vancouver and Toronto and is opening its first U.S. office in San Francisco. The company reported more than 100 percent growth in the past year and will use new funding to strengthen leadership, grow sales and marketing, and further develop its technology. Vulog’s client roster includes Evo Car Share, emov, GreenMobility, Mevo and Urbano. Planned product work includes more analytics tools, a scooter-sharing project in a major city, and partnerships in North American and Asian markets. Vulog develops hardware and software solutions for carsharing, serving both individual and corporate mobility needs. The company raised €8.4m in financing to support international expansion and to strengthen its competitive position in the carsharing market. It intends to use the funds to expand in North America and Asia and aims to double its staff in 2016 to bolster Business Development and R&D teams. Vulog opened offices in Paris and Vancouver in 2014 and is currently operating in Europe and North America through partnerships with mobility providers, car rental operators, automobile clubs, fleet managers and Smart Cities. Founded in 2006 by two INRIA engineers, Georges Gallais and David Emsellem, the company is based in Nice, France.
