Overview
Vydia provides a centralized platform enabling creators and brands to create, distribute, monetize, store, protect, and measure video and audio content across social and digital publishers. The platform is used by more than 200,000 musicians, influencers, and brands and is a premium partner of publishers like Vevo, YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram and networks including BET, MTV, and Music Choice. Since launching in 2013, Vydia has grown rapidly and earned recognition such as Inc 500 Fastest Growing Company in America. The company plans to institutionalize and ramp sales, expand product and feature sets, integrate with additional video, audio, and social platforms, and expand into additional content verticals. Vydia will also double down on machine learning capabilities to provide creators with intuitive, actionable feedback and to further differentiate its product. Launched in late 2013 and led by CEO Roy LaManna, Vydia provides a platform of tools that enable content creators to protect, manage, promote and monetize video content. The company’s user base is primarily music artists, including Jimmy Buffett, Joss Stone and Def Leppard. Vydia is building a new version of its platform to support a wider array of video content beyond music. The startup is based in Holdmel, NJ and intends to use new funding to expand operations, grow the team, accelerate product development and stimulate marketing efforts. The company named two new board members as part of the round: Joe Sparacio, former financial executive at IMAX, and Jay Bhatti, co-founder of spock.com.
