VytronUS secured $31.6M in Series B financing led by Apple Tree Partners with participation from BioStar Ventures, Windham Venture Partners, a strategic investor, New Enterprise Associates and other existing investors. The funds will be used for development and validation of its proprietary LICU Cardiac Imaging and Ablation System and to support forthcoming clinical trials. As part of the financing, Apple Tree’s David McIntyre and Sami Hamade and BioStar’s Hank Kucheman will join the company’s board. Michael Pederson is CEO but will step down later this quarter to lead Abbott’s newly-formed electrophysiology business.
