W1NNAS develops nicotine- and tobacco-free performance pouches—small mouth pouches filled with powder placed under the upper lip to allow rapid absorption through the oral mucosa. The products were developed over two years with input from sports physicians and tested for doping. So far the company has developed two pouch formulations with different strengths and flavors that were used exclusively by top athletes during development, with feedback from European soccer, NBA and NHL professionals. W1NNAS plans a market and brand launch for amateur athletes in September and will use new financing to fund production and the market rollout. The start-up was founded in 2022 by Pablo Klüppelberg and Ben Decker and is based in Cologne. The company emphasizes its pouches are free of nicotine and tobacco in contrast to harmful nicotine pouches used by many professionals.
