WAC launched in 2020 to help low-paid, hourly workers track hours, track rotas and receive live payslip estimates including deductions. The app was initially launched with a subscription model but later made free to focus on traction and user feedback. That move halted revenue generation temporarily while the team prioritized growth and product stickiness. WAC has amassed more than 300,000 app installs in 136 countries and reports 25,000 active users. The company plans to introduce multiple revenue streams, including a soon-to-launch premium plan developed from user research. Management is targeting nearly 400,000 installs and £4.7m revenue this year, rising to 1m installs and £13.2m by year four.
