WalletFi is a Durham, N.C.–based platform that identifies and moves recurring charges, subscriptions and card-on-file payments from one card to another within a digital wallet. Its core product helps customers migrate subscriptions and CoF payments during card reissuance, aiming to reduce customer churn and lost revenue for banks. Banks and credit unions can integrate WalletFi’s API into their mobile platforms or deploy it as a standalone white-label solution to reinforce top-of-wallet status and boost millennial engagement. WalletFi recently completed the 12-week VC FinTech Accelerator empowered by FIS and was one of 10 companies selected from 295 applicants in 2017. The company closed an additional $265,000, bringing its total seed financing to more than $300,000; early backers include several institutional investors and the CEO of a publicly traded bank. The new funds will be used to expand the product offering and accelerate business development efforts, according to co-founder and CEO Alain Glanzman.
