Wanderable helps couples build wedding registries centered on honeymoon experiences (and other items) and offers tools to create, edit and track gifts on the web and iPhone. The iPhone app also lets couples snap photos and send personalized mailed thank-you cards using the Sincerely API, with a planned move to bring that capability in-house. The company charges a 5% transaction fee split between givers and the couple and generates ancillary revenue through $9.99 gift boxes and concierge services. Wanderable partners with travel sites such as BedandBreakfast.com and is piloting private-label registries with a large, undisclosed Hawaii resort. Since its debut last January the service has attracted “thousands” of users, though exact metrics and revenue figures were not disclosed. The company was co-founded by Jenny Chen and Marcela Miyazawa.
