Warehouse Exchange

11400 West Olympic Boulevard Suite 1400, Los Angeles, CA, 90064, United States

Overview

Warehouse Exchange operates a marketplace connecting renters with flexible warehouse space, describing itself as the "Airbnb of warehouse space." The company was founded by Jonathan Rosenthal and Dan Pimentel and recently brought on former eHarmony CEO Grant Langston as chief executive. The platform reports 22,000 searches in the past 18 months and says businesses rent space for an average of 11 months, often beginning with a shorter term that is then extended. Listings can come from nontraditional warehouse owners—organizations monetizing extra space—as well as traditional third-party logistics operators that are increasingly rethinking revenue after losing anchor tenants. Warehouse Exchange raised $2.2 million in seed funding from investors including Xebec Realty and is already working to raise a $6 to $7 million Series A. The company says the infrastructure required to split warehouse space is generally light (often just partitions) and that individual tenants are typically responsible for on-site safety and operations.
