Waste Systems is a Tyrone, Northern Ireland-based designer and manufacturer of advanced waste management systems. The company has developed a suite of mobile machinery that separates difficult waste materials, enabling high levels of waste segregation within one machine and producing recovered materials of commercial value. That capability allows customers to reduce landfill costs and secure revenue streams from recovered materials. Founded and led by CEO Nishi Ward, Waste Systems employs a team of 20 and is exporting across Europe and North America. Earlier in the year it entered a major distribution agreement with UK distributor EPS and is working on a similar agreement with a US distributor. The company raised €1.2M from Kernel Capital via the Bank of Ireland Kernel Capital Growth Fund (NI) and intends to use the funds to expand international sales growth.
