AgaMatrix Holdings LLC is the parent of AgaMatrix Inc. and WaveForm Technologies Inc., which develop diagnostic technologies and CGM systems for diabetes care. AgaMatrix Inc. provides blood glucose monitoring devices, firmware, software and data storage solutions and has commercially launched 17 blood glucose monitoring products since its 2001 inception, selling over 8 million monitors and more than 3 billion disposable test strips. WaveForm Technologies is developing an innovative continuous glucose monitoring technology that is undergoing human clinical trials, along with related firmware, software and data platforms. The company completed a $56 million capital raise to strengthen its financial position. Proceeds are earmarked for debt repayment, increased production capacity, product development and additional clinical trial initiatives. Management plans to use the funding to support commercialization of WaveForm’s CGM in Europe and pursue FDA clearance in the USA. Covington Associates acted as financial advisor on the transaction.
