Wayonara is a travel social commerce platform based in Cagliari, Italy, co-founded by Carlo Oppo (CEO) and Salvatore Baldinu. The product allows travelers to discover and bookmark places, save items and combine them into travel boards. The company raised €135k via equity crowdfunding to finance product development and launch. Thirty-three backers acquired a 10% total equity stake through the crowdfunding platform TipEquity. Wayonara said it will use the capital to develop and launch the platform. The company had previously received €220k in public funding at the end of 2014 and planned to launch the platform by the end of 2015.
