Overview

Boston Microfluidics is a Cambridge, Mass.-based developer of needle-free blood collection devices led by CEO Brandon Johnson. Its flagship product, the Neotainer™, is used in at-home collection kits on LabCorp’s consumer platform, Pixel by LabCorp™. Pixel also offers certain laboratory testing that can be collected at LabCorp patient service centers. The company aims to simplify testing globally by enabling easier sample collection outside traditional settings. BMF plans to use new funding to bolster research and development and to continue improving its existing product line while developing new collection devices. On August 27, 2019 the company announced a $17.5M Series A led by Anzu Partners with participation from LabCorp Holdings.
