Webware.io, led by Co-Founder and CEO Cory York, is a Toronto-based company providing a complete digital toolkit for small businesses. The platform bundles a website and e-commerce builder, social media management, email marketing, blogging, SEO, reputation management and other online tools. Its technology and services are used by IBM, Kernels Popcorn, Staples Canada and over 10,000 businesses across 400 cities in North America. Webware raised $2M in strategic financing and plans to use the proceeds to launch a bricks-and-mortar partnership with Staples Canada. The company says the funding will also support growth of its presence among small businesses across North America. The round was led by Moss Kadey, a strategic investor focusing on consumer goods, real estate and technology companies.
