Overview
Webydo is a community-led, B2B SaaS platform that enables graphic and web designers to create, manage, and host pixel-perfect responsive websites without writing code. The product includes a built-in CMS and features developed in response to user demand, such as a Pixel-Perfect Responsive Editor, Code-Free Parallax Scrolling Animator, and History Revisions. More than 140,000 web design agencies, studios, and freelance designers have joined the platform, with thousands of new designers joining weekly. Webydo emphasizes a designer-driven roadmap, using community input to prioritize features. The company is collaborating with digital creative agency Hello Monday to redesign Webydo.com. Management says the new funding will be used to implement community-requested features and accelerate product development. Webydo offers a B2B cloud platform that enables web designers to create, manage and host websites. Its core product includes a code-generator that converts designers’ static visual designs into functional HTML5 sites with cross-platform, W3C-validated code. The company serves a global community of approximately 93,000 designers, design studios and web design agencies. Led by CEO Shmulik Grizim, Webydo intends to use new funding to continue developing product features and tools to support community leadership. The platform emphasizes designer-focused workflows and automated code output to bridge visual design and production-ready websites. Financially, the company announced a $7M financing to support its product and community roadmap. Webydo provides a cloud-based design studio and integrated CMS that lets professional designers build pixel-perfect websites via a drag-and-drop online canvas and then generates the production code automatically using a patent-pending code generator. Designers can import designs, photos, media and other assets, add features such as blogs, forms and Google Maps, and publish sites without writing code. The platform hosts published websites and charges $10 per month for published sites while keeping the design tools free to designers and the CMS free for their clients. During closed beta Webydo hosted more than 50,000 websites; the company has expanded from mostly operating in Israel and Europe to open its service in the U.S. market. Webydo positions itself against desktop tools like Adobe Muse by offering a cloud SaaS with an integrated CMS. The company has been pursuing additional funding to support growth and expansion.
