Wecasa is a marketplace that connects customers with at-home hairdressers, massage therapists, beauty providers, housekeepers, babysitters and sports coaches. The startup originally specialized in hairdressing at home and has gradually added new verticals to expand service offerings. It is mostly active in France and expanded to London in April 2021, with plans to launch in additional European markets as soon as next year. Wecasa expects to generate $23.6 million (€20 million) in revenue this year, a three-fold increase compared to 2020. The platform counts 150,000 customers and 5,000 registered professionals, and expects to add another 3,000 professionals by the end of 2021. The company has about 50 employees and is hiring roughly 30 more this year; finding more partners remains key to supporting growth amid competition from other local marketplaces.
