Overview
Wee Media, founded in 2017 by Keshu Dubey, Nayantara Jha, and Rishabh Lawania, is the parent company of tech and business publication WeeTracker. Its portfolio also includes consumer electronics media Gadgets-Africa and intelligence and financial data company AfriCo. In the last six months WeeTracker pivoted from an advertising-driven model to a subscription-based product, and both WeeTracker and AfriCo are subscription-driven with a majority of subscribers outside the continent. The company reports 50% month-on-month growth among paid users. Wee Media has a presence in Kenya, Nigeria, and the US, and plans to hire in South Africa and Ghana. It is using the seed investment to pivot its business model further, invest in talent and tech, and scale its business development and enterprise sales teams across its products.
