Wello operates an online marketplace connecting users with vetted trainers for private, live one-on-one training sessions over video. Customers can book 25-, 40- and 55-minute sessions across regimens including yoga, Pilates, kickboxing and strength training. The startup has more than 150 trainers signed up who are vetted for certifications and run through trial streaming sessions. Early engagement metrics show more than two-thirds of trial users return, and repeat users average 5.5 sessions per month. Trainers set their own hours and receive a larger fraction of earnings than at local gyms. Wello plans to introduce group sessions and is hiring engineers and marketing staff to scale.
