Wellsheet
85 Broad Street, New York, NY, 10004, United States
Overview
Wellsheet offers a predictive clinical workflow platform that pulls data from the EHR, prioritizes clinical content with machine learning, and assembles relevant information in an intuitive view for clinicians. The SaaS product uses FHIR APIs to integrate with leading EHRs and can be delivered across browsers and devices for faster implementation. Its platform is designed to reduce physician time in the EHR, lessen clinician burnout, and improve the quality of patient care. Wellsheet generates recurring subscription revenue and is deployed in large healthcare providers; its customers include over 40 hospitals. The company plans to use new funding to expand engineering and go-to-market teams and extend the platform to enable cross-platform offerings and support health systems transitioning to new care models. Craig Limoli is CEO, founder, and chairman of the board. WellSheet builds clinical decision-support software that prioritizes and presents EHR data tailored to a physician’s specialty and individual needs. Its algorithms scan patient records, surface relevant guidelines and contextualized guidance, and predict labs and medications to reduce documentation burden. The company uses machine learning but takes a conservatively optimistic approach to AI, focusing on fitting into clinician workflows rather than grandiose claims. WellSheet has completed pilots with four athenahealth practices including a neurology pilot and has a major Cerner pilot with RWJBarnabas Health, a 10,000-doctor health system, starting January 20. It has done the technical integration work with athenahealth and plans to launch an Epic pilot in the first half of next year. Financially, WellSheet closed an $800,000 Seed round to hire software engineering talent as it scales pilots; investors include Real-Life Innovations, Newark Venture Partners, and BioAdvance.
