Wellversed operates a portfolio of wellness and nutrition D2C brands across categories such as ketogenic, vegan, gluten-free, low-carb, weight management, diabetes care, intermittent fasting and sugar-free. Founded in 2018 by Aanan Khurma (a Stanford Biodesign alumnus) with Aditya Seth and Ripunjay Chachan, the company began as an enabler of food alternatives for people with lifestyle health conditions. Wellversed has expanded via acquisition (it acquired wellness counselling company Sport fit in 2020, bringing Aaris Kalra onto the team) and by building distribution across 25 online channels including its own website, Amazon, Big Basket, 1MG, Healthkart and others. The founders position the company as a platform to enable and scale wellness and nutrition D2C brands further. Management cites the global wellness market value (over $1.5 trillion, growing 5–10% annually) as a large opportunity. The company has investor support from early backers including Huddle Accelerator and a group of angel investors, and it is also backed by cricketer Yuvraj Singh.
