WeR develops Behavioral AI that analyzes the thinking, decision-making and actions of bank customers to surface behavioral insights for financial institutions. The company is led by Austrian serial founder Michael Berl and aims to apply its technology at scale to millions of customers. Initial funding includes a €4 million Pre-Seed round from a group of notable angels and banking executives. The Pre-Seed proceeds are being used to develop the product and expand the team. Management has signaled plans for a much larger follow-on financing around the turn of the year, likely in the double-digit millions, to support international expansion.
