WeRecover operates an online matching engine that pairs people seeking drug and alcohol rehabilitation with accredited treatment centers that have open beds, matching on budget, insurance, clinical needs and location. The company aggregates information on roughly 11,000 treatment centers across 29 states and has grown from a few hundred monthly users to about 4,000 users last month. WeRecover was founded in 2016 and is based in Santa Monica. The startup currently runs a 16-person team and says its database includes an especially comprehensive set of free, nonprofit and state-funded programs. The product roadmap includes continued database expansion, integrated content to keep patients engaged after finding treatment, and an eventual app to help sustain sobriety and peer connection.
