WherEX provides cloud-based e-sourcing enterprise software that brings multiple qualified offers for every product or service tendered, increasing transparency in B2B commerce. The platform was born in the fishing industry and expanded to cover verticals including industrials, materials and services. The company is led by co-founder and CEO Juan Carlos Hurtado. In this round WherEX incorporated two additional co-founders, Ben Garcia and Francisco Puente, who are Y Combinator S20 alumni and MIT graduates. The startup said it will use the funds to expand across Latin America and into the US market. It is growing into Mexico, Colombia and Peru with plans to enter the US in 2022.
