White Sands is a luxury island metaverse ecosystem built on NFT Worlds and the Ethereum blockchain, offering a virtual island paradise. Its core product includes high-end homes that owners can personalize with furniture, vehicles, pets and other NFTs, plus unique in-world experiences and connectivity to hundreds of other NFT Worlds. The project has already seen strong demand, including a 1,500 ETH sellout of initial NFT land plots on March 15 and a subsequent sellout of 250 villas. White Sands raised $8M through two NFT mints (the most recent on April 11) to fund further development. The team expanded its cross-functional staff and invested $1.25M to acquire 36 NFT Worlds to ensure capacity to build and evolve the metaverse. The metaverse is expected to launch in a matter of weeks, with an exact date to be announced.
