WhiteSwell is developing a minimally invasive catheter-based technology that enhances the lymphatic system to remove excess interstitial fluid in patients with acute decompensated heart failure (ADHF). The company’s approach targets interstitial decongestion rather than the vascular system, aiming to achieve complete decongestion while preserving renal function. WhiteSwell was founded by CTO Yaacov Nitzan in 2014 and is based in Galway, Ireland. Leadership recently added CEO Eamon Brady and CFO Seán Mac Réamoinn, both formerly of Neuravi. The company is conducting an early feasibility study at clinical sites in the U.S., Israel and Europe. The newly announced $30 million financing will support product development and a pivotal study of the technology.
