Whitetruffle is a job-matching service that connects anonymous candidate profiles to employer job listings using an algorithm that evaluates more than 50 categories to identify likely matches. Companies see candidates' qualifications while names and contact info remain hidden until both sides agree; once they do, Whitetruffle sends an introductory email. In beta the network grew to more than 2,000 employers and 30,000 job candidates, with participants including Asana, Pebble, EventBrite, LearnVest, and Dropcam. Employers reported cutting sourcing time by at least 30–40%, and about 50% of hires were people who already had full-time jobs. The company has shifted its business model from charging a fee per successful hire to subscription plans, launching a free plan that permits one job listing per account and paid plans starting at $660 per month. Founders expect revenue to take an initial hit from the change but hope subscriptions will broaden the kinds of companies and jobs that use the service.
