Overview
Led by CEO Leah Sparks, Wildflower Health builds digital and value-based care solutions for obstetric providers and payers. Its platform helps providers evaluate and design value-based care (VBC) models, install digital health and point-of-care decision-support tools, and adapt workflows to VBC requirements. The company continuously processes clinical and financial data to surface real-time clinical metrics and to manage payments, reconciliations, and outcomes measurement. Its proprietary maternity bundle spans prenatal to postnatal care and accounts for the total cost of pregnancy for both mother and baby. Wildflower plans to use new funding to strengthen its internal team and to prepare for nationwide expansion of that maternity bundle. Providence has increased its financial commitment and expanded a contract to install Wildflower’s solution across Southern California. Wildflower Health is a San Francisco-based mobile health software company that connects families to health resources on their smartphones. Its tools promote healthy pregnancies, track family health, and support the growth of each family member based on individual health needs over time. The company launched its Family Health platform, an integrated application to manage pregnancy and family health. Over the past year it tripled its recurring license revenue and expanded its user base by more than 10x. Led by founder and CEO Leah Sparks, Wildflower plans to use new funding to continue organizational growth and expand its Family Health platform. Wildflower Health builds Due Date Plus, a mobile maternity program that functions as a patient-navigation tool configurable by health plans to show coverage details and in‑network providers. The app is HIPAA‑compliant and is used by payers including Aetna, LifeMap and state Medicaid programs such as Wyoming’s. The company plans to broaden its product portfolio into pediatrics and family health and will launch a Spanish version of Due Date Plus in the coming months. Wildflower also agreed to a strategic partnership with Everyday Health, operator of the What to Expect franchise that reaches about 75% of pregnant women in the U.S. The new funding will support strategic expansion and ongoing product development. Wildflower Health offers Due Date Plus, a mobile maternity program available on iOS and Android that uses self-reported data to identify high-risk pregnancies and drive interventions. The app delivers customized tools and content and refers users to care management programs. The company plans to expand its mobile health offering to health plans, self-insured employers and Medicaid clients using the new funding. Wildflower was founded in 2012 by CEO Leah Sparks and Kathy Bellevin. Prior to this round the company secured seed funding in late 2012 through Rock Health.
