Wisear
14 Rue Soleillet, Paris, Ile-de-France, 75020, France
Overview
Wisear develops a patent‑pending neural interface that adds electrodes and electronics to earbuds to capture brain, facial and muscular activity and convert those signals into controls. The company focuses its system on muscle and eye activity, with primary controls based on jaw clenching (double clench to pause, triple to skip). Its prototype uses off‑the‑shelf components and the team says the demo worked for about 80% of people who tried it at CES. Wisear plans to licence the technology to existing headphone and AR/VR headset manufacturers rather than build hardware itself. The founders aim to ship two reliable controls in 2022 and scale the system to 12 controls within three years. The company recently raised €2 million to advance development and commercialization.
