Witty Works, incorporated in 2018 and based in Zurich, develops an AI-based text-editing tool that checks texts for discriminatory language and suggests inclusive alternatives. Its Minimum Sellable Product, 'Diversifier', launched in 2020 and was used by more than 30 customers, including Microsoft, Deutsche Bahn, Axpo, die Mobiliar, Sherpany, Accenture and Deloitte. Those customers helped Witty Works generate over €280k in revenue since 2020. Building on user feedback, the company redesigned the product and rebranded it as 'Witty', a browser plug-in that understands context better, highlights stereotyped terms, and proposes inclusive wording while also correcting grammar and spelling in English and German (Spanish coming soon). Witty plans to expand support to writing platforms such as Google Docs and Microsoft Word and to serve both private individuals and corporate users. The startup has a team of 11 and intends to use recent funding to scale the product and hire new employees.
