WizIQ offers a SaaS-based virtual classroom platform that enables live online and blended learning for teachers, trainers, colleges, universities and tutoring centres. Its software works on PCs, iPads and Android tablets, supports multiple languages and provides tools to connect with students, share content and deliver live classes. WizIQ reports more than 2.5 million students and over 200,000 teachers in more than 100 countries and says revenues are growing at an annual rate exceeding 200%. As part of the investment, authorSTREAM—a PowerPoint-sharing platform with 4 million users—will merge into WizIQ to expand its audience. The company will use the funding to bolster its market position, improve technology infrastructure and hire product-development and senior management staff. WizIQ has raised $8 million in total funding to date.
