Founded in 2015 and based in Paris, Woleet offers a blockchain data security solution that combines traditional timestamping with Bitcoin blockchain anchoring to produce irrefutable, timestamped proofs of data and transactions. The company calculates a numerical fingerprint of data, issues a Bitcoin transaction incorporating that fingerprint, and makes verification available via a drag-and-drop web interface. Woleet’s customers include large companies such as Kering, EDF and Servier Laboratories, and it has begun collaborations with public entities including the government of the Bretagne region. With the new funding, Woleet plans to accelerate commercial development and build new features to enrich its signature proof solution. Management specifically intends to target verticals with sensitive data, notably banking and insurance. The company closed a €1 million first round to support these growth and product initiatives.
