Wood Tube is a Värmland-based innovation company that has developed a patented paper stud for the manufacture of interior walls and furniture frames. The studs are made from paper raw material and serve as an alternative to steel or wood, offering lower climate impact, reduced construction costs and improved working conditions for carpenters. After a period of product development, certification and securing patent protection, the company is entering a more commercial phase. Bergs Timber AB has invested approximately SEK 8.5 million and taken a 25% ownership stake to secure financing for an industrial production facility. Bergs will act as an industrial partner and work with other owners and employees to develop production and market entry. The studs can be produced in varying dimensions and have attracted interest from architects, builders and resellers.
