Wool and the Gang is a London-based fashion brand that handcrafts and knits garments and accessories via a distributed community of artisans and makers worldwide. Co-founded in 2008 by Central Saint Martins textile design graduates Jade Harwood and Aurelie Popper and led by CEO Lisa Rodwell, the company emphasizes community-made and customizable products. It launched The Gang Collection™, a community-made and customizable line that initially features two handbag styles sold on its marketplace. The company intends to use the new funding to develop The Gang Collection™ and its marketplace and to expand its markets in the U.S., UK, Europe and Japan.
