Woonivers is a 100% digital mobile application that manages VAT (tax free) refund claims for non‑EU tourists and is approved by the Spanish Agencia Tributaria. Travelers scan purchase receipts in the app, generate QR codes and complete refund requests at DIVA machines at ports or airports to receive digital payments, avoiding queues at customs. The platform also provides retailers with a secure online portal to manage tax‑free processes. Founded in 2018 by Antonio Cantalapiedra and Abel Navajas, the company employs a team of about 20 professionals across development, programming, finance and marketing. Woonivers says it aims to accelerate international expansion, starting operations in Paris and other European cities. Financially, the startup has just closed its second financing round of €1.6 million to fund that expansion.
