Woov is an Amsterdam-based festival tech startup that operates a mobile platform connecting event organisers, artists, and visitors. Its app features interactive maps and real-time tools to show where friends are and what’s happening during events, aiming to reduce phone time and administrative friction. The platform was developed by founders Sebastien Westerduin and Irfan van Ewijk to address shortcomings in existing festival apps. Woov says it will connect more than 800 festivals across more than 41 countries this year and already has 1 million users. The company employs 25 people from ten nationalities. Financially, Woov has closed a €2 million seed investment from a number of angel investors as it prepares for a Series A round around the end of the year.
